How was it born?
As a writer, we collect stuff, written words stuff, visual stuff, comedic stuff, names stuff. Our lists are endless. And in that rare moment of genius or after a couple of adult beverages, an idea or several, clicks. And after countless years of rejections, writing and rewriting, there's some interest here.
Such was the case for Tigers Love Bubble Baths & Obsession Perfume….They really do! Witnessing the most incredible creature, a six hundred pound Siberian Tiger, slip into a galvanized tub overflowing with bubbles in a Florida Reserve and be sprayed with perfume, willingly, I flipped. And all behind cages. Well, in writing fiction we tend to change things.
Wishes… Stick with me here- I visit Nursing homes and spotted a poster in one Home. It showcased a toddler blowing on a dandelion. The poster said once a month one lucky resident can have their wish granted. Uh-huh, I thought, what if they were unrealistic wishes?
The middle-aged wife that gets left behind for the younger model. That's the bow tie! Don't want to give away the story. Yes, there's romance and plenty of it!
Now for the Spiritual twist, the icing on the cake. Have you ever heard of a Hand of Divine Intervention? I like that one. Divine Timing on the other hand, means, 'you ain't getting it tomorrow ' so grow a little patience and have some faith.
Such is what transcends on this sleepy town of Birdsong, Maine. If you love to read about deaths, wishes, and subtle romance, not to mention that Hand of Divine Intervention that touches all. It happens but, first, all goes to HELL!
